Back to School!

Well, we are about a month into school now, so it is probably about time that I give an update.  School has hit us full force, and we all feel like we don’t even have time to breathe!  Plus, a nasty illness has hit the Roper home.  I am finally feeling back to 100% today after almost 2 weeks.  Derek has missed the last 4 days of school and although things are starting to look up, it is going to take him awhile to recover.  Add that to Glenn being out of town a lot, and my record keeping has seriously suffered!

Here are Derek and Evan on the first day of school.  This day KILLS me every year!

Here is how he REALLY felt about it….

Derek’s teacher is Ms. Tenney.  Her entire extended family attends church with us, so we know her well and love her.  She is a lot of fun.  I think it will be a great year for him!

Evan’s teacher is Mrs. Walter.  We hope she is good!

And, this year after what seemed like YEARS of waiting impatiently, Adam finally got to start preschool this year!  He couldn’t be happier!  We LOVE Miss Rhonda!  When Adam was getting into the car after his first day of preschool I asked him if it was, indeed, the best day of his life like he had predicted a couple months earlier.  He enthusiastically said, “Yup!” and climbed on in.

Well, there we are.  Off an running on another school year and finally getting back around to keeping a record of what is going on around here.  I sure miss having my 3 boys at home all day!  They’re growing up so fast!
