School ended almost two weeks ago- hard to believe! Hooray for summer!!
Derek and Evan played a piano duet in the school talent show on the last day of school. They played “You’re a Grand Old Flag” which is admittedly kind of a nerdy song, but they did have cool sunglasses and matching flag shirts, which lessened (or maybe added to) the nerdy effect. It represented hours of practice, fighting, and jabbing their elbows into one another’s sides. They did a great job.
We survived the final chaotic classroom parties. My favorite is the “goofy” picture of Derek’s class. Derek took that opportunity to crouch down and finish a book he had just picked up from the classroom library. The moment captures his personality so well!
Goodbye, school! I don’t plan to miss you one bit while our family has fun together for the summer- my favorite time of year!
