Guest Post by Evan

As part of making sure that summer isn’t just fun and games, I assigned the boys to each write a blog post about their favorite part of the trip.  We’ll start with Evan:

Hello everybody! I just got back from a trip to the nation's capitol Washington D.C.I would like to tell you about my favorite part.

I like history, so I really enjoyed going to visit Gettysburg - one of the Civil War's battlefields. Gettysburg is a town with some very beautiful fields that were used as battlefields. There are some old cannons scattered about on the open grass. My brothers and I climbed on rocks and hid under them, pretending we were soldiers. We also pretended to shoot cannons. We even looked at the cemetery where Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg address.  It was very interesting to see a part of our nation's history.  I wish we could go again.
