Amelia hit her 6 month mark a few weeks ago. After quite a few sleepless nights of her waking up every hour, I finally decided to stop dragging my feet and try feeding her solid foods. We decided to start with oatmeal. Here’s how it went.
She was pretty excited about the prospect (and wanted to show off her new tooth in the process)!
And tried to let us know just how hungry she’s been by eating her bib before we could get started on the food itself.
Here goes the first bite…

After a few bites she seemed to warm up a bit and seemed cheerfully willing to try some more.
But then it was Daddy’s turn to do the feeding.
Yes, Amelia, you seriously have to eat this stuff.
But you don’t have to like it.
All done……for now. At least we can still be friends, right?
