What A Difference A Year Makes

We are STRUGGLING to make it to the end of the year over here!  With one week left to go of school, just waking up every day feels like an enormous task.  Packing lunches is like torture, we no longer care about being tardy, the school uniforms are only clean half of the time, and well……you can see how things are going on the homework front.

Here was Evan’s first book report of the year…Book Report 1

Here is the one I sweetly begged (or cruelly demanded, depending who you ask) him to finish this afternoon.  The last homework assignment of first grade.  Tears were shed (can you tell when they erupted?).Book Report 2

What do you think?  Is it A+ material (you have to factor in effort expended just to turn something in at the end of the school year)?  It is due on Friday.  Can I dig deep and sweetly encourage force him to fix it tomorrow, or should he turn it in as is- the true end of year offering?  Only 9 more days until freedom.  I think I can, I think I can, I think I can….
